This Privacy Policy explains how Clear Coat Systems LLC (“Clear Coat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Clear Coat Systems Detailing Software platform and related websites, mobile applications, and services (the “Service”).
We use this information to provide, operate, secure, maintain, support, and improve the Service; to process billing; to communicate with you about your account, the Service, and changes to it; to provide customer support; to enforce our terms and prevent fraud or misuse; and to comply with legal obligations.
Part B — For End ConsumersThese disclosures describe information that businesses collect about their customers through the Service. The business you interacted with is responsible for that information as its controller. Clear Coat processes it on the business's behalf.
End Consumer information is used to schedule and provide services, to communicate about appointments and services, to process payments through the business's payment processor, and for the business's legitimate operational purposes, in each case as directed by the business and consistent with this policy.
Part C — Applies to EveryoneWhen you use the Service, we and our providers may automatically collect: device information (such as device type, operating system, and identifiers), log and usage data (such as IP address, browser type, pages or screens viewed, and timestamps), and limited diagnostic and performance data. Our mobile applications may request permissions (such as camera, photos, and location) to provide specific features; these are used only for the feature requested.
On our public booking pages, analytics and advertising technologies (such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) load only after a visitor grants consent through the consent control on that page. Until consent is granted, these technologies do not run.
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, basic functionality, and—where consent is given—analytics and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
We do not sell End Consumer personal information (including names, contact information, or appointment details). We share information only as described here:
If you opt in to receive SMS messages, message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. Mobile information collected for SMS (such as your phone number and opt-in) is not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Because messages may be sent through a shared messaging number, replying STOP opts you out of further messages sent through that number across the businesses using the Service.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. Following cancellation or termination of a Business Client account, Business Client data is retained for six (6) months and then deleted. During a ten (10) day grace period after cancellation, a Business Client may resubscribe or export financial data only (this grace period does not include End Consumer information or job photos). Certain records may be retained longer where required by law, and we may retain aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify any individual.
Depending on your residency and applicable law, you may have rights to access, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. End Consumers should generally direct privacy requests to the business they interacted with, which controls that information; Clear Coat will assist that business as needed. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption of sensitive stored credentials and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product notice) and update the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
